Role Summary

  • Drive the sales strategy across Brazil geographies for Grains clients
  • Create value and capture revenues from existing client base as well as developing your own new client pipeline.
  • Work with brokers across Marex, and other divisions of the firm to drive synergies and potential new business opportunities
  • Liaise with Internal Stakeholders across the business (Credit / Compliance / Legal / Onboarding / Ops / Trading / Risk) to ensure compliance with the company’s policies and procedures with regards to day-to-day business activity and client communication.  

Responsibilities

  • This position is for an OTC Commodities Sales (Sugar) role within the Hedging Solutions team, based in Brazil.
  • The employee will be accountable for:
  • Sales of OTC Commodities derivatives within the Brazil markets (with a focus on Grains clients).
  • Supporting senior team members with coverage of existing clients, onboarding of new clients, and business development workflows.
  • Over time, you will be expected to build and manage your own direct client base, contributing to the growth of the Brazil OTC Grains business, leveraging the Marex Agile Platform to attract new, sticky revenues.
  • Ensuring that actions and behaviours are always in line with the Company’s policies & procedures in a regulated role.

Skills and Experience:

  • You will have strong communication, interpersonal and sales skills with a proven track record of forming strong long-lasting relationships.
  • You will have a sound understanding of global commodities (in particular Grains) markets and OTC Grains products, and how these can be structured to help clients to manage their underlying commodity price risks and exposures.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and resilient individual, with a proven ability to work as a proactive team player.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in a high-pressure environment.
  • Licensed to conduct OTC activities within Brazil.
