Marex Solutions department has some of the most experienced teams in the world, specializing in the manufacture and distribution of customized derivative products across Equities, Commodities, Credit, FX, Funds, Fixed Income and Digital Assets. These products are distributed to customers through two specialist channels: Risk Management and Financial Products

This role sits within the financial products team and focuses on the institutional client market which includes Asset Managers, Hedge funds, Insurance companies, Pension funds and Family offices amongst others.

This role sits within the financial products team and focuses on crypto native clients (across institutional and wealth) as well as traditional institutional clients (including Asset Managers, Hedge funds, Insurance companies, Pension funds and Family offices amongst others).

Role Summary

An experienced, ambitious, and proactive individual, with at least 10 years of experience in the industry, responsible for the development of our Crypto Solutions client franchise in Asia. Senior level position with the ability to work autonomously, and also as part of a team and directly engage with clients. Commercial ability to maintain good relationship with clients and find new ones to bring flow.

All employees are expected to understand and comply with any Sarbanes Oxley operational requirements relevant to their role.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality sales coverage of “crypto natives” (i.e. all clients and counterparties dedicated or mostly focused on digital assets) across Asia.
  • Also cover more traditional institutional clients (Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Insurance Companies, Pension Funds, SWF, Family Offices) for own account investments and solutions
  • Offer the full Marex Solutions product offering: OTC (hedging and overlays), Structured Notes, QIS, Collateralized lending – with a particular focus on crypto (even though also including other asset classes: equities, fixed income, credit, commodities, mutual funds)
  • Contribute to the global, cross asset, Institutional Solutions sales team (part of Solutions / Financial Products)
  • Create value and capture revenues from existing client base as well as developing your own new client pipeline.
  • Liaise with Internal Stakeholders across the business (Credit / Compliance / Legal / Onboarding / Ops / Trading / Risk) to ensure compliance with the company’s policies and procedures with regards to day-to-day business activity and client communication.
  • Drive the onboarding of new client relationships and maintaining of existing client relationships, assisting with support processes as required by colleagues, and engaging and updating clients.
  • Strategize to increase P&L, requiring analysis of markets and products, and seek to find opportunities to synergize with other areas of the Solutions business and Marex more broadly.

Skills and Experience

  • A deep understanding of digital assets and the crypto ecosystem
  • A deep understanding of structured products and derivatives particularly OTC (hedging and overlays), Structured notes, and QIS gained from experience working at a sell side organization.
  • A good knowledge of wider financial derivatives and how these can be used/structured to help clients to manage their underlying risk.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the financial service markets and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this
  • Relevant local regulatory certification
